Dulais Retreat

Our 15-acre private land

You cannot be closer to the heart of the Welsh countryside than when you book a holiday on a working farm. Dulais Retreat is based on our 15-acre family farm, giving you an excellent chance to immerse yourself in the peaceful rhythm of rural life, surrounded by stunning country views.

From picturesque hills to luring woodland, there is so much to explore on-site on our family-run farm. Children will be delighted to meet our sheep, friendly dog and cat or Matthew rumbling on his little tractor through the fields.

And what's better than fresh eggs and farm-baked Welsh cakes waiting in your holiday home for your arrival? A gift for each long-stay guest, from our family to yours.

Family-friendly activities

The best way to experience West Wales is to put on your boots, grab a packed lunch and head out for a day of adventures - Wales offers a wonderful opportunity for the whole family to switch off, relax and make memories away from those digital devices. Whatever time of year you visit, there is something to see and fun to be had.

Our Welsh holiday resort is located in the Village of Talgarreg, which offers beautiful countryside landscapes to explore, and the River Teifi offers magnificent scenes too. Dulais Retreat is the perfect base as a short drive you have family-favourite beaches Aberaeron, Aberporth and Tresaith, offering the best of both country and sea.

New Quay is a popular family destination, offering picture-perfect beaches. But besides the sand and sea, taking a dolphin-spotting boat trip is a must-do. Departing daily, they offer the chance to spot marine life of all kinds, including seals and dolphins.

Close by is the Welsh Wildlife Centre in Pembrokeshire with an adventure play area and trails of habitats to explore, offering an educational day out for the whole family. Fantasy Farm Park will keep the little ones busy for hours as they meet alpacas, horses, and feed lambs in the spring. Adventure Beyond is great for older children as they can try their hand at thrilling sports such as canoeing, white water tubing and kayaking.

Whatever time of year you visit West Wales, there is something to see and plenty of fun to be had.
