Our dream is to share our family-run farm and accommodation with you. We want our guests to feel at home when they come and stay with us while experiencing country living. That's why we put as much thought into our holiday accommodations as we have our on-site facilities.

We believe it's the little things that set Dulais Retreat apart. On arrival, long stays will receive a welcome hamper filled with Welsh farm favourites, including fresh eggs and homemade Welsh cakes baked fresh on the farm.  

Our holiday accommodation benefits from stunning panoramic views and the fresh air of the Welsh countryside. The rural setting offers a true escape from the stresses of daily life.

Located in Talgarreg, we're just a short drive from the sandy beaches of New Quay and Llangrannog in West Wales, as well as the bustling market town of Cardigan. Only a short 8 miles from Aberaeron or 20 miles from Aberystwyth, Dulais Retreat offers the best of both worlds, countryside and beaches.

It all started in 2014, in a discussion over breakfast one morning, where we were throwing ideas around; we wanted to invite guests to stay at our beloved family-run farm and home in Talgarreg. It was here on the kitchen table that Dulais Retreat was born.

Without hesitation, we went to work and converted an outbuilding into the beautiful two-bedded holiday cottage, Bwythn Derrick, our first holiday home accommodation - a project our late father originally started. Shortly after, we restored our clock tower and converted the property into the unique one-bedroom holiday cottage, Ty Cloc.

In 2017, we completed our first wooden lodge, overlooking the stunning on-site lakes, Golygfa. It was soon after that we introduced hot tubs to each of our self-catering holiday homes in Wales. Our near-future plans include adding additional wooden lodges overlooking the lake.

March 2018, we held our first-ever wedding - a blessing held down by the lakes in our newly built bandstand, perfect for occasions. The ceremony continued under our sheltered marquee, overlooking the green fields of the valley, perfect for picturesque wedding photographs.

Dulais Retreat is our pride and joy. Based on our family farm, we live on-site and can respond quickly to our customer's needs, whatever time of day. We are always on hand if you need to be inspired and we are always happy to give you insight into farming life, we can also recommend activities, places to eat and walks.

Our Welsh holiday resort is in the quietest part of West Wales, set in 15 acres of farm and woodland, there is little coming and going so you won't be disturbed. With private grounds to explore, including a summerhouse and lake, you can find space to do your own thing, unwind and live a slower-paced life in the countryside.
